ESCMID 2026: Setting New Benchmarks in RNA Protection

We are thrilled to announce that DIANA Biotechnologies will be participating in ESCMID 2026! We will dedicate this year to our broad portfolio of molecular reagents for DNA and RNA analysis. Our stand will be full of our proprietary PCR and RT-PCR mixes, enzymes like DNA Polymerases and Reverse Transcriptases or custom services reagents. But we want to showcase something, that might be out of your main focus. The crucial role of RNase inhibitors in RNA protection. Why? Because we have created the most potent and robust inhibitor in the world. Let’s talk more about our DB Ultima H!

The Crucial Role of RNase Inhibition in Molecular Analysis

As experts in molecular biology, we know that RNA is inherently unstable and highly susceptible to degradation by ribonucleases (RNases), which are ubiquitous in laboratory environments and biological samples. Because of this, reliable RNase inhibitors are indispensable for maintaining RNA integrity during your analyses.

By rapidly neutralizing these degrading enzymes, our RNase inhibitors provide efficient RNA protection. This molecular defense is critical for ensuring the success and sensitivity of your downstream applications, including one-step and two-step reverse transcription-qPCR, in vitro transcription, and complex expression profiling from single cells.

New Benchmark of RNA protection

We are incredibly proud to feature the DB Ultima H RNase Inhibitor as our biggest highlight at ESCMID 2026. We engineered this highly advanced RNase inhibitor specifically to overcome the most common stability challenges faced in the lab, boasting the highest thermal stability and absolute oxidation resistance on the market.

  • Complete Oxidation Resistance: It is the only truly oxidatively resistant RNase inhibitor, retaining its activity even at 2.0% H₂O₂.

  • Storage Stability: Stable at room temperature in usual PCR buffers for months. You can also leave it in RT for one week without DTT.

  • Broad Compatibility: It does not interfere with enzymes used in RNA applications, therefore reliable across your various workflows.

  • Exceptional Thermostability: It is the only protein RNase inhibitor active at temperatures above 55°C.

Showcasing Our Core Reagent Portfolio

We have covered the RNA protection. Now it is the time to proceed to the actual analysis. During ESCMID 2026, we will be featuring our new generation of PCR and RT-PCR mixes and enzymes. And what are the main features?

PCR and RT-PCR Mixes

We built our PCR and RT-PCR mixes on our proprietary SuperSens technology to deliver exceptional robustness, sensitivity, and specificity. For ultimate convenience, our selected mixes feature DBdirect™ technology, which enables direct PCR and RT-PCR without the need for prior DNA or RNA extraction. All of our mixes feature a single-component formulation to give you maximum simplicity and reduced hands-on time.

High-Performance Enzymes

DB Taq DNA Polymerases: Our recombinant enzymes, including DB SuperSens Taq and DB AptaTaq, combine high thermostability with exceptional sensitivity for both your routine and challenging PCR tasks.

DBscript Reverse Transcriptase: We engineered this M-MLV Reverse Transcriptase with high thermostability which supports reverse transcription at 50–60°C, ensuring higher specificity and excellent yields of full-length cDNA.
