AT 488 Azide is a bright green-fluorescent dye that is structurally identical to Atto 488. With its high photostability and pH resistance, it has become one of the most widely used fluorophores in life sciences. Its hydrophilic nature makes it an ideal choice for labeling sensitive proteins.
AT 488 Azide interacts with alkynyl derivatives of biomolecules in Click Chemistry reactions either in the presence of copper (I) catalyst (with terminal alkynes) or without catalyst (with cyclooctynes), leading to the formation of stable adducts.
Package size
Key Parameters: Great brightness and pH stability with lower costs
Azide: Reactive with terminal alkynes via a copper-catalyzed click reaction
Applications: Confocal microscopy, super resolution microscopy (STED, PALM, dSTORM), flow cytometry (FACS), cell cultures and tissue labeling
Lower cost alternative with protocol compatibility: Same Spectral Properties & Performance = Works exactly like Atto™ 488 with friendly price. Use it as a substitute for Alexa Fluor® 488 or FAM.
Complete Compatibility – Can be used in any existing protocol that uses Atto 488
