AF 488 PEG4-Alkyne: Fluorescent Dye

(DB-410107)

AF 488 PEG4-Alkyne is a bright green-fluorescent dye that is structurally identical to Alexa Fluor 488. With its high photostability and pH resistance, it has become one of the most widely used fluorophores in life sciences. Its hydrophilic (much higher due to PEG) nature makes it an ideal choice for labeling sensitive proteins.

PEG4 spacer improves accesibility to binding partners in click chemistry and reduces nonspecific interactions with hydrophobic surfaces/proteins. It makes it better for in-cell labeling, protein conjugation, or any application where spatial flexibility, solubility, or reduced nonspecific binding is critical.
