Oligonucleotides for cDNA Synthesis
Oligo(dT)20 primers and random hexamers are commonly used in cDNA synthesis to initiate the reverse transcription process. Choose from our range of primers: DB Oligo(dT)20 primers, DB Anchored Oligo(dT)20-VN primers or DB Random Hexamers to ensure the best accuracy and efficiency for your cDNA synthesis applications. Applications: cDNA synthesis, two-step RT-qPCR/RT-PCR
DB Oligo(dT)20 Primer (DB-1282)
Application: cDNA synthesis from mRNA with poly(A) tail
Composition: a primer sequence of 20 deoxythymidines (dTs).
Package size: 2.5 nmol/50 µM
DB Anchored Oligo(dT)20-VN Primer (DB-1283)
Application: cDNA synthesis from mRNA with poly(A) tail
Provides higher yields than standard oligo(dT)20 primers due to better priming.
Composition: a primer mixture consisting of sequences of 20 deoxythymidines (dTs) followed by dV (dG, dA, or dC) and then by dN (dA, dT, dG, or dC).
Package size: 2.5 nmol/50 µM
DB Random Hexamers (DB-1284)
Application: cDNA synthesis from total RNA or mRNA without poly(A) tail
Efficient transcription of all regions of the target RNA due to annealing over the entire length of the RNA molecule. The resulting cDNA pool consists of short transcript sequences.
Composition: a primer mixture of random sequences of 6 bases [d(N)6] (N = dA, dT, dG, or dC).
Package size: 2.5 nmol/50 µM; 6.25 nmol/125 µM
